The electrofusion end cap is primarily compatible with plastic pipes such as PE and PPR.
It serves as a terminal point or plug in a pipeline system, widely used in municipal water supply, gas distribution, agricultural irrigation, and residential water supply/drainage applications.
It is designed to effectively block fluid movement within the pipe, featuring a cap-like shape that reliably isolates the internal environment from the outside. Its core structure consists of plastic with uniformly embedded resistance wires and external metal connectors.

During installation, the pipe end must first be cut square, and the oxide layer should be removed.
The pipe is then inserted into the electrofusion end cap up to the marked depth. A specialized welding
machine applies an electric current to the resistance wires, generating heat that melts the interface
between the cap and the pipe. After cooling, a monolithic, sealed structure is formed, effectively
preventing leakage of the pipeline medium and blocking the entry of external contaminants. Compared to traditional mechanical sealing methods, the electrofusion end cap offers more stable sealing performance, easier installation, and adaptability to various pipe specifications, making it suitable for end-sealing requirements in diverse and complex environments.

Q: During electrofusion welding, the pipe is inserted too deeply, contacting the inner wall of the fitting and causing displacement of the resistance wires. What should be done?

A: Mark the correct insertion depth line on the pipe before welding and insert strictly to this mark. Select fittings with internal stopping ribs to prevent over-insertion. If wire displacement has occurred, replace the fitting and re-weld.

Q: After electrofusion welding, localized overheating and charring occur at the plastic end of the joint, significantly reducing its strength. What is the solution?

A: Check if the welder's output voltage is stable to avoid excessive voltage. Shorten the welding cycle or reduce the welding temperature (while adhering to process specifications). Replace the charred joint, as it cannot withstand normal water pressure and is prone to failure.
